Même notre Michel Sardou lui rend hommage dans son mythique Lac du Connemara, lui le double vainqueur de Paris Roubaix (84 et 86), sept fois vainqueur de Paris Nice et son « fecking » de Col d’Eze dont il est invaincu à ce jour. The clock is ticking, 2012 is approaching and what could be the best season yet for the An Post Grant Thornton M. Donnelly Sean Kelly team is now just weeks away. The riders from the Irish-sponsored, Belgium-based squad are currently at a training camp in Calpe, and will remain there working hard until Tuesday. Many of those who raced with the team in 2011 are back once again, including two strong riders who had expected to leave. An Post Rás winner Gediminas Bagdonas took several victories in 2011, including a stage in the Tour of Britain, and earned a contract with the top-ranked Geox-TMC team, but the Vuelta a España-winning squad disintegrated after its main sponsor Geox walked away.
