GREG LEMOND
Re-found his place at the Tour de France
Road Cyling UK, Oliver Gill, 22 Juli 2016
After a gloomy first week and a windy second, the weather is heating up on the Tour de France. In Villars-Les-Dombes, the finish town for stage 14, the temperature is well into the mid-30s Celsius. Air conditioning is at a premium.

Greg LeMond : Interview
Cyclist, Mark Bailey, 6 Mei 2015
For a man who enjoys a tranquil life filled with fishing trips, hikes and hearty plates of Mexican food, Greg LeMond has had an extraordinarily dramatic career. The American cyclist won three eventful Tours de France, triumphing in a bitter duel with his team-mate and nemesis Bernard Hinault in 1986 to become the first non-European Tour champion, and clinching a tense final-day time trial in 1989 to beat Laurent Fignon to the yellow jersey by just eight seconds – the narrowest margin of victory in Tour history – before storming to his third title in 1990.

Cycling needed Lance Armstrong's fall.
The Telegraph, Oliver Pickup, 10 Februari 2015
In 1986, Greg 'Le Monster' LeMond became the first American to win the Tour de France. The 53-year-old lifts the lid on his rivalry with Bernard Hinault, the Armstrong doping scandal and Boris Bikes as he prepares to speak at the London Bike Show

After the storm: An exclusive interview with Greg LeMond
Velo News, Neal Rogers, 25 September 2014
LeMond was the first American man to win an elite world road championship (in 1983), the first cyclist to sign a million-dollar contract (in 1984), the first American to win the Tour de France (in 1986), and the first cyclist to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated, as its Sportsman of the Year (1989). In all “LeMonster” won two elite world titles and three Tours, as well as the Tour de l’Avenir, Criterium du Dauphine, and the Coors Classic, twice.

Armstrong ‘manipulated the cancer community’

PEZ Reload: Hanging With Greg LeMond
Pez Cyclingnews, richard pestes, 11 Augustus 2012
As I’m regularly reminded of, and take great pleasure reminding loyal PEZ-Readers… this job has perks. Like the weekend I spent at Tour de Georgia with the guys from LeMond bikes to introduce their new Triomphe full carbon road racer – which included riding and hangin’ with Mr. Greg LeMond himself…

Professional Cycling's Talented Revolutionary
Bike Race Info, Bill McGann, 24 Februari 2007
I have long believed that Gregory James LeMond is the most physically talented rider since Fausto Coppi. The easy mastery he displayed from his first racing days made his natural ability clear. He could do more than just kick out watts in staggering quantities (big numbers for his time, but more about this in the interview), he was one of his generation's finest bike handlers. In short, he was a complete rider, one of the finest in cycling history.
