The second largest city in Austria, Graz sits in the southeastern portion of the country and along the Mur River. In 2003, the city was named as the European Capital of Culture and its Old Town area is presently listed as one of UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage Sites.

Amber Rais began her sporting career as a swimmer, breaking state and national records whilst still at high school. After making a name for herself racing with Webcor in 2007, she will start her second season with TIBCO at the Tour of CA criterium in Santa Rosa.

Amber came into the sport of cycling later in life than most. She swam competitively as a child and eventually earned a partial scholarship to the Division I program at Stanford University. But after three years, and a career hampering shoulder injury, she suffered exhaustion from the sport.
