Ireland’s 18 years old Felix English caused a sensation when he eliminated reigning triple Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy from the sprint event at the European track championships in Pruszkow. Hoy had qualified fastest in 9.999 seconds, the only rider to crack the 10 second barrier.
