JACK HAIG
"It’s not very often it works out like that"
Cyclingtips, Matt de Neef, 27 Maart 2019
It’s been an impressive start to the year for Jack Haig (Mitchelton-Scott). The young Australian has finished inside the top seven in all three stage races he’s done so far this year, including a terrific fourth on GC in his recent Paris-Nice debut.

Haig impressing in Spring Classics as Giro debut beckons
CyclingTips, Shane Stokes, 20 April 2018
Chirpy, animated and happily giving interviews, Jack Haig looks like he has just ridden to the shops. Around him are shattered riders, professionals who have dragged themselves to the top of the Mur de Huy and show all the signs of a tough Flèche Wallonne with its exhausting final climb. But, other than some dirt on his face, some dust on his jersey, Haig appears unaffected.

Jack Haig, guest of the week at Cafe Roubaix
Cafe Roubaix, Cafe Roubaix, 7 December 2015
One of the most promising neo-pros expected to shine in 2016 is Jack Haig, whose impending debut in the World Tour is heralded by some very strong results he got as an amateur during the previous season in such races as Tour Down Under, Giro della Valle d’Aosta, Tour Alsace and Tour de l’Avenir. In the latter of the these, the now 22-year-old was the leader of Australia’s national team and put on a steady performance in the mountains, which netted him a second place in the overall standings, just 1:09 behind the winner, Spain’s and Movistar’s Marc Soler, a cyclist who was already accustomed to the World Tour level and rigors.

Raw talent from Down Under.
Cafe Roubaix, Cafe Roubaix, 3 December 2014
Jack Haig started cycling in Bendigo, at a local mountain bike club, and at first he wasn’t thinking about becoming a rider. But things changed after being selected for the U19 World Championships, when he decided to train properly in order to be in the best possible shape. All that hard work helped Jack finish in the top 50, a result that gave him the confidence needed to carry on, with the long-term goal of becoming a professional rider.

Direct Velo, Nicolas Mabyle, 7 Augustus 2014
